If you decided to remove the engine for repair, then some preparations have to be made.
The paramount importance has the choice of the venue of works, for providing space for service and storage of spare parts. It is desirable to do it at bus station or in a garage with an equal horizontal floor with a pure hard coating.
Before removal of the engine wash up the engine and a motor compartment. Removal of the engine requires the load-lifting mechanism allowing to lift safely the power unit.
If you remove the engine for the first time, it is necessary to invite the skilled expert. Besides, there are many cases when one person cannot perform at the same time all operations at removal of the engine.
If the engine is removed from the car for full dismantling, then remove the following knots from the engine:
– generator;
– distributor of ignition and spark plug;
– inlet and final collectors and carburetor;
– fuel pump;
– water pump and thermostat;
– coupling.
