4.1.18. Removal and installation of the engine

1. At removal of the engine the transmission remains in the car.
2. Disconnect positive and negative plugs from the accumulator.
3. Remove the air filter.
4. Merge cooling liquid from the cooling system. Disconnect cooling system hoses from the water pump, a casing of the thermostat and a head of the block of cylinders. Also disconnect heater hoses.
5. Disconnect and close a suitable stopper the giving hose of the fuel pump and a returnable fuel hose.
6. Disconnect a cable of an accelerator and a cable of control of the air gate from the carburetor.
7. Disconnect a vacuum hose of the vacuum amplifier of brakes from an inlet collector.
8. Disconnect electric sockets from sensors of pressure of oil and primary winding of the coil of ignition. Remove the central high-voltage wire connecting the coil of ignition and a cover of the distributor of ignition.
9. Release a clamp and disconnect the multicontact electric socket of the engine.
10. Take an entrance shaft of coupling.
11. Unscrew two bolts and disconnect a reception exhaust pipe from a final collector.
12. Unscrew three bolts and remove a protective plate of a flywheel.
13. Hook on the engine the load-lifting mechanism and raise so that the weight of the engine was perceived by the load-lifting mechanism.
14. Support the transmission by a jack through wooden whetstone and remove the right support of the power unit.
15. Unscrew the remained bolts of fastening of the transmission to the engine.
16. Check that any elements interfering removal of the engine are removed or disconnected, then move the engine from the transmission and take it from a motor compartment.
17. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. If coupling was removed, then before installation center a clutch plate.
