3.1.3.1.12. Adjustment of the emergency brake
MODELS WITH BACK DRUM BRAKES
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. The optimum gap between brake shoes and the brake drum is supported by the mechanism of automatic adjustment, however at long operation of the car the cable of the emergency brake stretches therefore the course of the lever of the emergency brake increases. |
| 2. Lift a back part of the car and fix on supports. |
| 3. Completely release the emergency brake. |

4. Tighten a nut on a connector of cables of the emergency brake (it is specified by an arrow) to a full zatormazhivaniye of back wheels, then slightly unscrew a nut to a disinhibition of back wheels. |
| 5. Check that the emergency brake begins to slow down back wheels on the second click of the lever of the emergency brake and completely slows down wheels on the fourth or fifth click. |

6. For further check remove a stopper (it is specified by an arrow) from the back party of a brake board. At the correct adjustment the distance between a pin on a control lever of the emergency brake and a crossing point of a brake shoe has to make 3 mm at the released lever of the emergency brake. |
| 7. After carrying out adjustment for protection against corrosion grease a carving on the end of a cable of the emergency brake. Lower the car. |

MODELS WITH BACK DISK BRAKES
Before check of adjustment of the emergency brake it is necessary to pass about 300 m at a low speed with slightly tightened emergency brake that will remove a rust or luster from brake shoes and the brake drum.

| 1. Lift a back part of the car and fix on supports. Remove back wheels. |
| 2. Completely release the emergency brake, then tighten the lever of the emergency brake on two clicks. |
| 3. Weaken the regulator nut on a head of a cable of the emergency brake located to the left of the muffler. In the presence of the thermofilter for improvement of access remove it. |

4. Turn a brake disk so that the opening in a brake disk was established from below and on the contrary adjusting level. Then tighten the lever of the emergency brake on two clicks. |

5. The screw-driver through an adjusting opening of a brake disk / nave turn a wheel of an adjusting level so that brake shoes began to brake a brake disk. |
| 6. Turn a wheel of an adjusting level in the opposite direction in order that brake shoes departed on insignificant distance from a brake disk / nave. |
| 7. Make similar adjustment on the second back wheel. |
| 8. Rotating, move a nut on the regulator or the compensator of a cable of the emergency brake to situation at which the emergency brake will slow down wheels. Check that the emergency brake slows down at the same time two back wheels. |
| 9. Completely lower the lever of the emergency brake, then repeatedly tighten it. |
| 10. Zatormazhivaniye of back wheels of the car has to occur at a raising of the lever of the emergency brake on the sixth tooth of a ratchet. If necessary, rotating a nut on the regulator or the compensator of a cable of the emergency brake, establish a nut in such situation that the zatormazhivaniye of back wheels occurred when tightening the lever of the emergency brake on the sixth tooth of a ratchet. |
| 11. In the presence install the thermofilter of the exhaust system. |
| 12. Establish wheels and lower the car on the earth. Tighten bolts of fastening of a wheel the required moment. |
