12.6. Adjustment of the bearing of a back wheel

Prevention
For fastening of a nut of a nave it is necessary to use the new forelock.

1. In the presence take off a wheel cap, then weaken bolts of fastening of a back wheel. |
2. Lift a back part of the car and fix on supports. |
3. Remove a back wheel. |
4. Using a screw-driver edge, remove a dustproof cap from a nave. |
5. Take the forelock fixing a nave nut from unscrewing then weaken a nut of fastening of a nave. |
6. Tighten a nut of fastening of a nave the moment of 25 Nanometers, at the same time turn a nave. |
7. Weaken a nut of fastening of a nave until until the persistent washer located under a nut can be moved with a screw-driver edge in different directions. |
8. Install the new forelock fixing a nave nut from unscrewing. At the same time, if the opening under the forelock in a pin is not combined with grooves on a nave nut, tighten a nut before combination of an opening with the next groove. |
9. Check that the persistent washer can still move. Otherwise weaken a nut before combination of the next groove on a nut with an opening in a nave pin. |
10. Establish a wheel and lower the car. |
11. Tighten bolts of fastening of a wheel the required moment. |

Since 1992 on all models the non-demountable knot of a nave and the bearing of a back wheel is established.
As the knot consisting of the fastener of a nave, a nave and the hug bearing is non-demountable knot, adjustment of the bearing is not required.
