4.2.10.2. Repair of the oil pump
Prevention
At installation of the oil pump use a new sealing ring of a bent shaft.
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Remove the oil pump. |
|
2. Unscrew screws and uncover the oil pump. |
3. Using a marker, note an arrangement of an internal and external rotor of the oil pump. |
4. Clear all details of the oil pump and check their state. |
|
5. Using a probe edge, measure a gap between an internal and external rotor of the oil pump. |
|
6. If any of the measured gaps does not conform to technical requirements, replace the corresponding details of the oil pump. Keep in mind that on external surfaces of rotors of the oil pump there are corresponding tags. |
|
7. Unscrew a bolt of the safety valve of pressure from a forward part of the case of the oil pump and take a spring and a plunger from a pump housing. |
|
8. Replace the forward sealing ring of a bent shaft located from the forward party of the case of the oil pump. Using a screw-driver edge, take an old sealing ring and, using a tubular mandrel of the corresponding diameter, establish a new sealing ring. |
9. Check that the interfaced surfaces of a back cover of the pump and a pump housing pure and dry, then apply a thin film of sealant on these surfaces and install a back cover on the pump. Screw in screws of fastening of a cover. |
10. Install the oil pump on the engine. |
