4.2.8. Removal and installation of the camshaft
Prevention
You make removal of the case of the camshaft on the cold engine. At installation of the case of the camshaft use new bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders and sealant.
Without removing the camshaft case, the camshaft can be removed from the engine only in the presence of the special tool for pressing of pushers of valves at extraction of the camshaft. In the absence of the special tool it is necessary to remove the camshaft case.
Because at removal of the case of the camshaft it is necessary to unscrew bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders, it is recommended to prepare new laying of a head of the block of cylinders.
Removal

1. Remove the camshaft case (removal and installation of the case of the camshaft are a part of operations on removal of a head of the block of cylinders). Fix a head of the block of cylinders by four bolts, having enclosed under heads of bolts of a nut and a washer. |
| 2. Unscrew a bolt of fastening of a pulley of the camshaft. At the same time the wrench established on camshaft lysk keep him from a provorachivaniye. Remove a pulley from the camshaft. |

3. From a reverse side of the case of the camshaft unscrew two bolts fixing a persistent plate of the camshaft. |
|
|
4. Move the camshaft from the case and remove a persistent plate. |
|
|
5. Being careful, take the camshaft from the left end face of the case of the camshaft. |
|
|
6. If necessary unscrew three bolts and remove a back casing of a gear belt. |
|
Installation

1. Using a screw-driver edge as the lever, take a forward sealing ring of the camshaft from the camshaft case. |
|
2. Using a tubular mandrel of the corresponding diameter and the hammer, install a new ring in the camshaft case. |
| 3. Grease the camshaft, bearings of the case of the camshaft and working edges of a sealing ring with fresh engine oil. Being careful, install the camshaft in the camshaft case. |
|
4. Establish a persistent plate of the camshaft and fix it by bolts. Check an axial side play of the camshaft. If the axial side play of the camshaft exceeds admissible limits, replace a persistent plate. |
| 5. If necessary establish a back casing of a gear belt. |
|
6. Establish a camshaft pulley, at the same time the ledge on a shaft has to enter a pulley opening (it is specified by an arrow). |
|
7. When tightening a bolt hold the camshaft from a provorachivaniye in the same way, as well as when unscrewing a bolt. |
| 8. Install the camshaft case. |
9. At installation of the new camshaft observe the following mode of a running in:
– one minute at 2 000 rpm;
– one minute at 1 500 rpm;
– one minute at 3 000 rpm;
– one minute at 2 000 rpm. |
| 10. At installation of the new camshaft do not change engine oil during the run of the first 1 000 km. |
