11.21.1. Replacement of components of anti-blocking system of brakes (ABS)

Basic elements of anti-blocking system of brakes

1 – rotation speed sensors

5 – hydraulic block,
6 – electronic control device,
7 – pressure regulator,

SENSOR OF SPEED OF ROTATION OF THE WHEEL

Prevention

The sensor of speed of back wheels on models since 1992 of a nave, compound with a casing. At failure of the sensor it is necessary to replace it together with the nave block.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
	2. Unscrew the only screw and remove the sensor.

3. Disunite the electric socket of the sensor located on sensor wires.
4. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal.
5. Before installation apply a thin film of lubricant on the sensor case.
6. In conclusion check ABS work.

ELECTRONIC CONTROL DEVICE (ECU)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.

2. Release four brackets and remove the lower finishing of the dashboard from the driver.

3. Remove the ECU block from an arm.

4. Release clamps, then disconnect the electric socket and take the ECU block from the car.

5. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal.

6. Check ABS work.

ABS RELAY

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. Unscrew or remove a relay arm. The arm is located about the top fastening of the left rack of a forward suspension bracket.
	3. The ABS relay (it is specified by an arrow) – the closest to the hydraulic block. Disconnect the electric socket from the relay and remove the relay.
4. Keep in mind that the relay has own fuse. Check this safety lock before drawing a conclusion that the relay is faulty.
5. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal.

HYDRAULIC ABS BLOCK

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. For reduction of losses of brake fluid uncover a popolnitelny tank of the brake system, close a tank mouth polyethylene and again screw a cover. It is necessary in order that the cover hermetically closed a popolnitelny tank.
	3. Unscrew two screws and uncover the hydraulic block.
	4. Remove two relays from the hydraulic block.
	5. Release a clamp of the multicontact socket, squeezing two half together, and disconnect the multicontact socket.
6. Unscrew connecting nuts and disconnect brake tubes from the hydraulic block.
7. Close the ends of tubes suitable traffic jams and move them from the hydraulic block aside, at the same time do not deform them.
8. Unscrew three bolts, then disconnect the tire of grounding and remove the hydraulic block.
9. If replacement of the hydraulic block is made, remove two relays from the old block and install them on the new hydraulic block. The relays located closer to hydraulic connections operates electromagnetic valves, and the second relay operates the pump electric motor.
10. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal taking into account the next moments.
11. Tighten all bolts the required moment.
12. Pump over hydraulic system.
