10.1.9.2. Repair of the transmission
The transmission represents very difficult unit and its repair it is necessary to make in a specialized workshop. Also at removal and installation of many details it is necessary to measure gaps and, if necessary, to adjust them what requires use of the corresponding adjusting laying and washers. Not only that details of the transmission are absent on sale and they need to be ordered, they are still extremely expensive. If the transmission is faulty or works with strong noise, it is desirable to charge repair of the transmission to the expert or to replace the transmission that can cost much cheaper. However a part of malfunctions of the transmission can be eliminated without removal of the transmission from the car.
However, despite all difficulties, the skilled expert can make repair of the transmission and in house conditions. At the same time it is necessary to have special tools and to perform work consistently, step by step noting the executed operations. At repair of the transmission it is necessary to use special flat-nose pliers for removal of lock rings, strippers for bearings, the inertial hammer, a set of punches, a micrometer and a hydraulic press.
Before removal of the transmission try to define most precisely malfunction of the transmission that considerably will facilitate further repair.
