10.1. Mechanical transmission
The transmission is placed in a case from aluminum alloy and attached to the left end face of the engine. It consists of the transmission, the main transfer and differential.
The torque from a bent shaft of the engine is transmitted through coupling to a main shaft of the transmission on which the clutch plate is established. From a secondary shaft the torque is transferred to differential and to power shafts.
In neutral situation the main shaft and gear wheels of a secondary shaft rotate freely and do not transfer torque to differential.
The mechanism of gear shifting is put in action by the lever located on a car floor by means of a switching rod. The mechanism of gear shifting moves the corresponding fork which moves the synchronizer and provides rigid connection of a gear wheel of a secondary shaft with a secondary shaft.
Elements of the fifth transfer are located under a cover in a transmission end face.
The reverse gear turns on due to gearing of an intermediate gear wheel with two pryamozuby gear wheels established on primary and secondary shaft of the transmission.
In the transmission kosozuby gear wheels are used that reduces the level of noise and increases wear resistance.
