Measurement of distance from the interfaced surface of a flange of the step engine to a plunger tip


Before removal of any of elements it is necessary to remove a weight wire from the accumulator.

THROTTLE CASE / FUEL NOZZLE

PERFORMANCE ORDER
For access to the corresponding elements of the case of a throttle / a fuel nozzle remove the case of the air filter (see rice. Throttle case details / a fuel nozzle on l models 1,4 and 1,6).

POTENTIOMETER OF PROVISION OF THE BUTTERFLY VALVE


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the electric socket from a potentiometer of provision of a butterfly valve.
2. Unscrew the screw of fastening of a potentiometer and take a potentiometer of provision of a butterfly valve from the throttle case.
3. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. Check correctness of combination of a potentiometer with an axis of a butterfly valve. Check that the butterfly valve is closed completely.
4. Connect the electric socket and install the case of the air filter.

FUEL NOZZLE

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the electric socket from a fuel nozzle.
2. Unscrew the screw (it is specified by an arrow) fastenings of the holder of a fuel nozzle.
3. Being careful, raise a fuel nozzle and remove it together with the holder.
4. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. At the same time it is necessary to use new sealing rings of a fuel nozzle.

TOP CASE OF THE THROTTLE

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect electric sockets, unscrew screws and remove the top case of a throttle from the main case. Remove laying.
2. Unscrew connecting nuts and disconnect fuel-supply lines from the top case of a throttle.
3. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. Replace the laying located between the top and main case of a throttle.
4. If earlier screws with washers were used, remove washers, and apply the means interfering their unscrewing on a carving of screws. Tighten screws the required moment.
5. The step engine of management of air supply on idling turns.
6. Disconnect the electric socket from the step engine.
7. Unscrew two screws of fastening of the step engine.
8. Remove the step engine.
9. Remove a sealing ring from the step engine.
10. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal taking into account the next moments:
      – install a new sealing ring on the step engine and apply on it a thin film of lubricant for simplification of installation of the step engine;
      – for an exception of damage of the case of a throttle or a tip of a plunger of the step engine which acts more than on 28 mm from the interfaced surface of the step engine, being careful, press a plunger against the stop (see rice. Measurement of distance from the interfaced surface of a flange of the step engine to a plunger tip). After start of the engine the step engine needs to be installed in a starting position, using signals from the ECU block;
      – before a vvinchivaniye of screws of fastening of the step engine apply the means interfering their unscrewing on a carving of screws.

THROTTLE CASE

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect electric sockets from the throttle case.
2. Disconnect draft, then unscrew two nuts and remove the throttle case from hairpins of an inlet collector. Remove laying and clear the interfaced surfaces of the case of a throttle and an inlet collector.
3. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. Establish laying between the case of a throttle and an inlet collector. Tighten nuts of fastening of the case of a throttle the required moment.

FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Prepare a new diaphragm as it is subject to obligatory replacement after removal of a cover. Take off pressure in fuel system.
2. Unscrew four screws of fastening of a cover of the regulator of pressure of fuel.
3. Observing care, uncover the fuel pressure regulator, a spring and a diaphragm.
4. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. Before installation check that the interfaced surfaces pure and dry and establish a new diaphragm.

THE SENSOR OF ABSOLUTE PRESSURE IN THE INLET COLLECTOR

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The sensor of absolute pressure in an inlet collector is located on a partition of a motor compartment. Disconnect the electric socket and a vacuum hose from the sensor. Remove the sensor from a partition of a motor compartment.
2. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. A vacuum hose arrange so that it was evenly inclined from pressure sensor in an inlet collector to the throttle case down.

CONTROL UNIT

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. For access to the control unit remove finishing on the right side in deepening for legs of the forward passenger.
2. Disconnect the electric socket from the control unit, then unscrew the screw of fastening and remove the control unit.
3. The control unit consists of two parts: main unit of engine management and programmable block of memory. It is not recommended to divide blocks independently. Definition of malfunctions of blocks needs to be made at Opel service station with use of the special equipment. If at inclusion of ignition from the control unit noise, perhaps is heard, it is damaged because of unreliable connection of contacts between blocks.
4. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. Check correctness and reliability of connection of the electric socket.

SENSOR OF TEMPERATURE OF COOLING LIQUID

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Merge a part of cooling liquid so that the level of cooling liquid was below the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid.
2. Disconnect the electric socket from the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid and unscrew the sensor. Note an arrangement of a sealing ring of the sensor.
3. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal, but at the same time it is necessary to use a new sealing ring of the sensor.

SPEED SENSOR

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the electric socket from the sensor of speed close to a speedometer drive cable. Unscrew a connecting nut and remove a speedometer drive cable from the sensor.
2. Unscrew the speed sensor from the transmission.
3. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal.
