6.2.4. The used fuel
The fuel recommended for use is specified in subsection 6.2.1.
Standard high-quality grades of fuel are suitable. Quality of fuel considerably influences the power, kind of work and service life of the engine. At the same time are of great importance added to fuel of additive (additive) therefore fill only qualitative grades of fuel with additives.
MODELS 1,4 AND 1,6 L
On all models 1,4 and 1,6 of l catalysts and therefore it is necessary to use only unleaded gasoline of 95 RON are installed. When using ethylated gasoline the catalyst will be damaged.
MODELS OF 1,8 L
All models of 1,8 l are intended for work on unleaded gasoline of 98 RON. If it is necessary to use unleaded gasoline of 95 RON, for a detonation exception in cylinders of the engine it is necessary to perform the following operations.
When using unleaded gasoline of 95 RON on early models with the engine 18 E it is necessary to reduce an ignition advancing corner on 3 °. On later models with the engine 18 SE the octane number of fuel can be set switching of a cap in a plait of wires of system of ignition.
| The cap is located on the right side of a motor compartment and at the plant is established for use of gasoline of 98 RON. For operation of the car on unleaded gasoline of 95 RON it is necessary to release the fixing bracket, to remove a cap, to turn it on a half of a turn and to establish into place. |
MODELS OF 2,0 L
On all models with the catalyst it is necessary to use only unleaded gasoline of 95 RON.
All models which do not have the catalyst are intended for work on unleaded or ethylated gasoline of 98 RON. For operation of the car on unleaded gasoline 95 it is necessary to rearrange a fuel octane number cap.
