8.1.5. Check, removal and installation of the condenser
The condenser is intended for reduction of sparking between contacts of the breaker.
The condenser is connected parallel to contacts of the breaker. At an exit of the condenser admissions of ignition are out of operation possible.
Check
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. If operation of the engine after escape of several kilometers is broken and there is a strong obgoraniye of contacts of the breaker, then, perhaps, the condenser is faulty. |
| 2. Further check can be made, disconnecting manually contacts of the breaker with the included ignition. |
| 3. Existence of a strong spark between contacts indicates failure of the condenser. |

Removal and installation
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Unscrew the screws fixing an ignition distributor cover and remove a cover and a rotor of the distributor. |
| 2. Move a spring of the lever of contacts of the breaker from the plastic insulator and disconnect condenser wires. |
| 3. Unscrew the screw, the fixing condenser to a basic plate of the distributor of ignition, and remove it. |
| 4. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. |
