4.3.6. Gear belt

Prevention

At installation it is necessary to use a new gear belt. For removal of a pulley of a bent shaft it is necessary to use a stripper.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Lift a forward part of the car and fix on supports. Remove the lower mudguard of the engine and a mudguard of an arch of a wheel.
2. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
3. Weaken collars and remove the air branch pipe connecting the air filter to the air stream measuring instrument.
4. Remove the air filter.
5. In the presence take off a driving belt of the pump of the amplifier of the steering mechanism and a driving belt of the generator.
	6. Unscrew three bolts and remove an external casing of a gear belt. Take rubber sealing rings from openings under bolts in a casing.
	7. Take rubber sealing rings from openings under bolts in a casing.
	8. Remove consolidations from a cover of a gear belt.
9. Weaken six bolts of fastening of a pulley of an auxiliary driving belt to a pulley of a gear belt of a bent shaft. For deduction of a bent shaft of the engine from a provorachivaniye if the engine is installed in the car, the assistant has to include any transfer and press a brake. If the engine is removed from the car, hold a bent shaft from a provorachivaniye a wrench for the central bolt of a bent shaft. For improvement of access unscrew a collar of fastening of the oil heater from the inside of a wing.
10. For a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a bent shaft turn a bent shaft of the engine in the direction of working rotation before combination of adjusting tags on pulleys with indexes.
	11. Combination of a tag of VMT on a pulley of a bent shaft with the index on a back casing of a gear belt.
	12. Combination меткок VMT (are specified by shooters) on pulleys of camshafts with indexes on a cover.
13. Unscrew six bolts and remove a pulley of an auxiliary driving belt from a bent shaft.
	14. Weaken a bolt of fastening of a pulley of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt, then take away a pulley from a gear belt and take off a gear belt from pulleys.
15. Do not turn a bent shaft of the engine at the taken-off gear belt as there can be an impact of pistons to open valves.
