Check of a condition of a belt
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Take off a generator belt. |
| 2. Remove casings of a gear belt. The bigger casing fastens 4 bolts, one of them the fuel-supply line bracket fastens. The cover of a pulley of TNVD fastens 3 bolts. On diesel engines since 1987 casings hermetically close a belt therefore laying and brackets is in addition provided. |
| 3. Turning a bent shaft a key for a head of a bolt of fastening of a pulley (if necessary remove the right forward wheel) check a condition of a belt on all length. Pay special attention to places about the basis of teeths in which there can be cracks. At detection of pollution or signs of destruction replace a belt. Establish and remove the cause of pollution. |

Check of a tension of a belt

1. The tension of a belt is checked by a dynamometer of KM-510-A or the equivalent device. In the absence of this device (though its application is strongly recommended), the correct tension it is possible to check approximately whenever possible twistings it approximately on 90 ° in the middle of a branch between pulleys which will defend from each other at the greatest distance. At an excessive tension the belt usually publishes a rumble on the working engine, the weakened belt, as a rule, quickly wears out. |
| 2. Turn a bent shaft on 1/2 turns in the direction of normal rotation. Establish a dynamometer on more "proslablenny" part of a belt from the generator, consider indications and compare them to the data provided in subsection subsection 4.4. |
| 3. In need of adjustment weaken bolts of fastening of the water pump and, moving the pump, adjust a tension. Tighten bolts of fastening of the pump. |
| 4. Turn a bent shaft on 1 turn and again check a tension. If necessary again adjust a tension, having repeated the procedure. |
| 5. Tighten bolts of fastening of the pump the required moment. |
| 6. After adjustment of a tension or replacement of a belt check the fuel injection moment. |
| 7. Installation is made in the sequence of the return to removal. |
| 8. Establish a wheel and lower the car. |

| 1. The casing of a gear belt consists of two sections, at first it is necessary to remove the top, then lower section. |
| 2. For access to casings, remove the air filter and other driving belts. |
|
3. Unscrew 5 bolts and remove the top casing. |
| 4. From a wheel niche unscrew 4 bolts of fastening of a pulley of a bent shaft and remove a pulley from a pulley of a gear belt. |
|
5. Unscrew 3 bolts and remove the lower casing (shooters showed two bolts of fastening of the lower casing). |
| 6. Turning a bent shaft a key for a bolt head (if necessary remove the right forward wheel), check a condition of a belt on all length. Pay special attention to places about the basis of teeths in which there can be cracks. At detection of pollution or signs of destruction replace a belt. Establish and remove the cause of pollution. |

The tension of a belt is regulated by the automatic mechanism of a tension.
