8.2.3. Ignition distributor

MODELS 1,3 AND 1,4 L WITH THE CARBURETTOR

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Unscrew spark plugs.
2. Unscrew the screws fixing an ignition distributor cover, remove it and move aside.
3. Release the emergency brake, include transfer, close a finger an opening under a spark plug of the first cylinder and move the car forward until you feel under a finger air pressure in the cylinder.
4. Continue to move the car before combination of a tag (it is specified by an arrow) on a pulley of a bent shaft with the index.
5. On models with the automatic transmission turn a bent shaft of the engine for a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a bent shaft.
6. If temporarily to establish an ignition distributor cover into place, then the rotor of the distributor of ignition has to be combined with an electrode of a high-voltage wire of the first cylinder.
7. Disconnect the electric socket of the distributor of ignition from the ignition coil.
8. Disconnect a vacuum tube from the vacuum regulator of an advancing of ignition.
9. Unscrew bolts or nuts and remove the ignition distributor from the camshaft case.

MODELS OF 1,6 L WITH THE CARBURETTOR I MODELS 1,4, 1,6 AND 1,8 OF L (18E) WITH SYSTEM OF INJECTION OF FUEL

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Removal of the distributor of ignition is made similarly, as well as on l models 1,3 and 1,4 with the carburetor (see above) with the following differences.
2. The electric socket needs to be disconnected from the ignition distributor, but not the coil of ignition.
3. The cover of the distributor of ignition fastens spring brackets, but not screws.
4. On the case of the distributor of ignition there is a tag (is specified by an arrow) defining the provision of a rotor of the distributor of ignition for giving of ignition in the first cylinder. The tag is visible after removal of a rotor of the distributor and a plastic ring.
5. The distributor of ignition fastens two nuts, but not a tightening level.
6. The drive of the distributor of ignition is carried out with use of a cylindrical pin.

MODELS OF 1,8 L (18 SE)

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. Unscrew screws and uncover the ignition distributor.
3. Take the plastic screen from the ignition distributor case. On perimeter of the plastic screen the sealing ring is established. At removal of the plastic screen do not damage an ignition distributor rotor.
4. Using a six-sided key, unscrew two screws of fastening of a rotor of the distributor of ignition.
5. Remove an ignition distributor rotor. At the same time the metal nave of a rotor has to remain in the ignition distributor case.
6. If necessary remove a rotor nave.
7. Using a screw-driver edge as the lever, take a sealing ring.

MODELS OF 2,0 L WITH 8 VALVES

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. Unscrew screws and uncover the ignition distributor.
3. Take the plastic screen from the ignition distributor case. On perimeter of the plastic screen the sealing ring is established. At removal of the plastic screen do not damage an ignition distributor rotor.
4. Using a six-sided key, unscrew two screws and remove an ignition distributor rotor. At the same time the metal nave of a rotor has to remain in the ignition distributor case.
5. If necessary remove a nave of a rotor and, using a screw-driver edge as the lever, take a sealing ring.

MODELS OF 2,0 L WITH 16 VALVES

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. Disconnect the multicontact electric socket of the sensor of Hall from the ignition distributor.
3. Uncover, closing high-voltage wires, then disconnect wires from spark plugs.
4. Disconnect the central high-voltage wire from the coil of ignition or uncover the ignition distributor.
5. Unscrew two bolts fixing the ignition distributor to a head of the block of cylinders.
6. Remove the ignition distributor together with a cover and high-voltage wires.
7. Note an arrangement of a driving cylindrical pin in relation to the camshaft.
