5.7.2. Sensor of the index of temperature of cooling liquid
Giving of tension to the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid is made from the dashboard via the lock of ignition and the fuse.

| 1. The sensor is located in a head of the block of cylinders behind the water pump on engines of 1,2 l, in an inlet collector on engines 1,3 and 1,4 of l and in a thermostat casing on l engines 1,6, 1,8 and 2,0. The sensor represents a thermistor which electric resistance decreases at increase in temperature. |
| 2. On the cold engine high and electric current does not pass sensor resistance through the index of temperature therefore his shooter is on value of low temperature. |
| 3. If the index of temperature does not show engine temperature, first of all check electric chains of the sensor. Also check giving of tension in an electric chain of the sensor. If the arrow of the index randomly twitches, indistinct giving of tension or giving of not stabilized tension can take place. At the same time it is necessary to replace the stabilizer. If there are suspicions that the index of temperature does not work, check it as follows. |
| 4. If the arrow of the index shows the low temperature of the engine, disconnect the electric socket from temperature sensor and connect it to weight. If at the same time the arrow of the index deviates at the included ignition, so the sensor of temperature is faulty and it needs to be replaced. If the arrow of the index does not move, remove a combination of devices and check an electric chain between the sensor and the index, and also giving of tension to the index. If the electric chain is serviceable, so the index of temperature is faulty and it needs to be replaced. |
| 5. If the index of temperature shows all the time high temperature, disconnect the electric socket from the sensor. If at the same time the arrow of the index moves to a zone of cold temperature at the included ignition, so the sensor of temperature is faulty and it needs to be replaced. |

Removal
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Partially merge cooling liquid from the cooling system lower than the level of installation of the sensor, or have a suitable stopper which needs to close an opening after a sensor vyvinchivaniye. |
| 2. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator. |

3. Disconnect the electric socket from the sensor and unscrew the sensor. |

Installation
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Before a vvinchivaniye of the sensor apply a thin film of sealant on a sensor carving. |
| 2. Screw in the sensor into place and connect to it the electric socket. |
| 3. Fill in cooling liquid in the cooling system. |
| 4. In conclusion start the engine and check operation of the sensor of the index of temperature. Check the cooling system for existence of leaks. |
