5.3. Removal, check and installation of a radiator

Prevention

The radiator can be removed together with the radiator fan, but in connection with restriction of space it is desirable to remove the radiator fan previously.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Merge cooling liquid from the cooling system and remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. Weaken collars and remove the top and lower hoses, and also a hose of a broad tank from a radiator.
3. Disconnect two electric wires from the thermal sensor of turning on of the fan of the radiator located sideways a radiator.
4. If the fan of a radiator is not removed yet, disconnect the electric socket close to the radiator fan engine. Release the clips fixing burn down wires to a casing of the fan and move them aside.
5. On models with the automatic transmission disconnect and close suitable traffic jams of a tube of the heat exchanger sideways of a radiator.
6. Unscrew the bolts of fastening of a radiator located in the top corners of a radiator and remove a radiator together with the radiator fan.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. If the radiator was removed in connection with reduction of capacity, wash out its stream waters in two directions. Outside blow a radiator compressed air.
2. If the radiator proceeds, do not try to make or solder the place of a leakage as plastic details of a radiator will be damaged. Insignificant leakage of a radiator can be eliminated with radiator sealant use.
3. Check a condition of the lower rubber support of a radiator and, if necessary, replace them.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. In conclusion fill in cooling liquid in the cooling system, and on models with the automatic transmission check oil level in the transmission and, if necessary, bring it to norm.
