7.5.2. Removal and installation of a starter

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
Models of 1,2 l
2. Disconnect positive wires from the accumulator and a starter. Also disconnect a positive wire from the generator.
3. For improvement of access disconnect draft of gear shifting. Unscrew bolts and remove a starter, at the same time disconnect wires from the traction relay.
4. At installation of a new starter rearrange on it the traction relay.

Models 1,4, 1,6, 1,8 and 2,0 with 8 valves
5. Lift a forward part of the car and fix on supports.
6. Mark, then disconnect electric wires from the traction relay.
7. Unscrew bolts (are specified by shooters) fastenings of a starter and take it from under the car.
Models of 2,0 l with 16 valves
8. Unscrew bolts, the fixing starters and the transmission to the engine.
9. Lift a forward part of the car and fix on supports. Remove a support of support of an inlet collector.
10. Disconnect electric wires from a starter.
11. Unscrew the remained bolts of fastening of a starter, remove a starter from the engine and take it from under the car.

Installation

Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal.
